“I had been carrying around a decade of trauma and years of secular counseling, yet the trauma was all still there. After watching the 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice series, I immediately emailed Dr. Mark Virkler who recommended I work through Prayers that Heal the Heart (PTHTH) with Pastor Don Paprockyj. I just love Pastor Don (and his wife, Myrna, who prays as he counsels). I can tell he lives through flow (of the Holy Spirit), as he is an amazing conduit of the Lord’s love, peace, joy, compassion… I always feel safe and secure with him.

God protected me from much worse
Sabrina has been through incredible trauma, including being repeatedly raped by family as a child for years, as well as being tortured. The sexual assaults continued in numerous foster homes. This led to Sabrina being institutionalized and incarcerated for violence and multiple suicide attempts. Sabrina has been homeless, suffered from alcohol and drug abuse and mental illness, and more. Her testimony:
“Counseling has helped me to open up more because it has shown me that God‘s love for me is unconditional. The inner healing showed me that when I thought I was all alone in the things I went through in my life, God was there in the midst of it all. When God showed me that He protected me from a whole lot worse, it said to me that He really cared about me when I thought that nobody else did.
“Pastor Don led me to forgive all these people who have hurt me, which I could’ve never done on my own. I had hate for all these people before I started this counseling. Without Jesus, I was not able to do it by myself, but He helped me to forgive. The forgiveness has made my heart be transformed into what God wants me to be. I am learning how to love in the midst of all the hate that I had. Jesus is actually giving me a love for these people who hurt me so much.

“After years of battling and ‘walking out’ fear in my life (with some, but not total, success), my need for deeper healing became apparent when a traumatic event happened several months ago in the life of a dear friend. This traumatic event exposed to me that fear still had a grip on me, which was very unsettling.
