Don and Myrna traveled to Ukraine in 2022 during the war where Don preached and taught. Don and Myrna ministered in humanitarian ways – giving and encouraging – to the war weary people. Don is of Ukrainian descent, being born in the U.S. to parents originally from Ukraine. Don still has many relatives in western Ukraine.

Don preached in various churches 10 times, teaching Biblical principles on how to receive Jesus’ strength during the war. Many of these people were displaced from the ground war regions in eastern and southern Ukraine Don and Myrna ministered mainly in western Ukraine where there is no ground war, but rockets are fired there regularly. Don taught that we are to live only by Jesus’ words and visions, as Jesus lived only by what He heard and saw from the Father in His heart (from John 5). Don also taught on how to go from fear to faith and anger to love.

Also, Don taught on how to bring healing to a wounded heart by showing that Jesus was in all traumatic experiences from the past and was ministering in some way – He just needed to be seen. In addition, Don taught that forgiveness of those who hurt us is also necessary to bring healing to our wounded heart.
Don also had the opportunity to teach an abbreviated 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice seminar (see picture at table) to church leaders, which was also received well, and hopes to continue this teaching by video conferencing.

Don was also honored to preach in a village church outside of Lviv where his grandfather pastored for years and where Don’s pastor father also preached in 1990 (see picture below). Don and Myrna also provided and helped distribute hundreds of food parcels to displaced people from the war, as well as to injured Ukrainians soldiers at a military hospital.

Don’s preaching and teaching was received well in Ukraine. Don and Myrna hope to go back to Ukraine in the future and further teach, preach, counsel and train leaders to help bring healing to the multitudes who have suffered severe PTSD from the horrific war. Please pray that the war end and for Don and Myrna to continue to be used greatly to help these precious people.
